Passing the CCIE Written exam is a pre-requisite for taking the CCIE Lab exam. Networkers Guru offers boot camps for both CCIE R & S and Security Written and Lab. You can also take a combo Boot camp for both exams.

It is not mandatory that you possess a CCNP or CCSP certificate before taking this exam, though equivalent knowledge is required.

Networkers Guru offers CCIE Routing & Switching Boot Camp Training in 2 different tracks.

4 We believe in providing individual attention, not training in bulk. This results in a far higher percentage of people who pass after our training in their 1st attempt. We don’t know of anyone who has taken more than 2 attempts to pass. This is something we believe we alone can claim.

4 Based on participant feedback, we have understood that a 100% labs approach is most helpful for CCIE training. However, we are more than happy to teach concepts based on participant requirements.

4Unlike other institutes where your CCIE trainer will teach you some days of theory and leave you by yourself when you do the labs, our CCIE trainers are always by your side during the entire duration of the course. We help you understand why you are not getting the desired results in a lab, teach you to troubleshoot problems and show you how to increase your pace so that you can solve complex labs within an 8 hour time-frame.

4 Our equipments are made available to past participants who are yet to clear their exams for their practice which they can use at night times. Working with others who have also undertaken training with us forms a strong study group & support group & is of great value to each participant. This support group is of immense value to our course participants.

4 To give a few examples, it considerably reduces the time you would take to solve any problem you are stuck with when you have somebody who has been through it before to explain you how to solve it & why its solved in a certain way. Having a group is also helps a lot when it comes to sharing resources.

The CCIE incubator program consists of 4 weeks of rigorous training.
4The first weeks is focused on technology specific lab training.

This is largely hands-on and you will learn the technologies while solving the technology focused lab scenarios. This training helps you understand the technologies one by one and makes you ready for the next 3 weeks of training where you will learn to implement all of these technologies in multi-protocol full-day labs.

4Remaining 3 weeks comprise of guided full-day multi-protocol lab scenarios.

These are complicated scenarios, each covering the concepts and Cisco's publicly declared objectives of the lab exam. The lab topology as well as the scenario structures are similar to what you can expect to find in the lab exam and modeled based on the new Cisco exams which feature 4 layer 3 Catalyst switches in every POD.

4This training is FAR more than a boot-camp. The training has been constantly evolving from the time we started it. We believe we have put together a brilliant training program which is possibly one of its kinds in the world.

4You cannot but underestimate how much you will learn in through our nearly 100% hands-on approach & under constant guidance from our CCIE trainer who is a specialist in this field. The combination of this thoughtfully created program & the trainer's commitment towards every participant and passion for imparting knowledge has translated into a high pass rate amongst participants.

4The course is formally a 10am -6pm training (Mon-Fri) but participants should be prepared for spending as many as 12 hours a day in the labs from Mon-Fri with optional self practice on Saturday. At every step, the course exposes each participant's strengths and weaknesses & and based on this, they are encouraged to do their reading at-least for a couple of hours everyday on weekdays and as much as they can on weekends.

Each participant will have a dedicated pod for the entire duration weeks of the course. Discounted pricing is possible for participants who are ready to share a POD during the training (Max 2 students per POD).

CCIE labs changing from UniversCD to Cisco Documentation. On Sept 24 2008 CCIE labs will no longer support using the UniversCD documentation for the lab exam. All labs are migrating to Cisco Documentation only. For those scheduled to take the CCIE lab prior to Sept 24 access will still be available for UniversCD.

The Cisco Documentation pages have the same information that currently resides on UniversCD, please refer to the links on the CCIE web pages to view these pages and become familiar with the new format. After Sept 24 2008 only the Cisco Documentation web pages will be available for CCIE labs.

Cisco CCNA / CCNP Certification: Learning Tips To Navigate Cisco Certifications

When studying for your Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE exam, you’ve got a powerful online weapon at your disposal. It’s Cisco Connection Documentation, found at www.cisco.com/univercd. This site contains product, code, and protocol documentation for all Cisco products.

Many exam candidates really don’t start using this powerful tool until they’re studying for their more advanced exams. However, it’s important for CCNAs, CCNPs, and candidates for these certifications to learn their way around this site. It comes in handy for finding default values that Cisco really enjoys asking about on exams, and the protocol documentation found there can help you study as well.

The site can be a little overwhelming for newcomers, but it’s actually easy to navigate. On the site’s homepage, you’re presented with a list of products and several drop-down menus. To get started, we suggest you choose “Cisco IOS Software” in the top-right drop-down menu, and select a code version. 12.4 is a good one to start with. From there, select the IOS Release 12.4 Configuration Guide and Command References.

You’re then presented with a list of technologies, and each has a Configuration Guide and a Command Reference. If you’re studying Interior Gateway Protocols at this point (such as OSPF, RIP, and EIGRP), select “IP Configuration Guide” and then “IP Routing Protocols”.

You then have the official Cisco documentation on how to configure RIP, IGRP, OSPF, EIGRP, ISIS, and BGP. Reading this documentation is invaluable. Many study guides skip the details to give you an overview of the protocol. This documentation doesn’t skip anything. The documentation shows how and when to use any command for that protocol. There are also real-world examples and notes on when to use each command. We’ve always learned something new when reading the online Cisco documentation.

You can then back out and go through the same steps for the Command Reference. For those studying for Cisco exams, this section will quickly answer any question you have about a command’s syntax or default values. Instead of trying to remember which book you saw a value in, just zoom out to this site and you’ll have your answer in seconds. Real-world examples of command usage are prevalent as well.

As with anything, the more you use the online Cisco documentation, the better you get at it. The Configuration Guide for the various Cisco switches gives you a great picture of how switches work. We highly recommend reading at least one of their switches’ config guides.

Beyond any exam value the online Cisco documentation gives you, it serves another valuable purpose. The more you use it now, and the more comfortable you get with it, the better you’ll be with it when the day comes that you need it on the job. And trust us – that day will come!
